Rejection sucks. It can be tough to even take the chance for rejection- what's the point? If you've been rejected, how can you not only handle it but go forward and take another chance? It doesn't have to be tough- here are some tips.
Yet another 'no' after you took another chance. Getting rejected making you feel dejected? Handling rejection is no walk in the park, but it doesn't have to be the usual humiliation. In fact, you can work it to your advantage. Here are some tips in handling rejection as a man:
-
Heads Up. First and foremost, do not make the mistake of blaming yourself. A woman can reject you for any number of reasons- and guess what, fellas? Almost none are to do with you. It could be timing, mood, personality clash or attachment. Maybe she had a bad day, and tomorrow she'll say yes with a grin.
-
Fish and Sea. Yes, approaching women is scary. Being shot down can be embarrassing. Dealing with rejection is easy. One woman says no, there are three dozen that could possibly say yes. All it takes is you not giving up but moving on. Keeping yourself open to the endless possibilities that are waiting for you to ask.
-
Her Loss. You know what you're worth and what you have to offer. Pity she doesn't. That, however, has nothing to do with you. It doesn't reflect on you in any way. It reflects on her and whether or not she's open to possibility. It's not your fault she didn't give you a chance, and that means no reason to feel bad about rejection. Consider it a bullet dodged.
-
Game On. Think about your approach, and why you think (maybe) it didn't work. We can all make minor improvements and adjust our game to be more successful. Did you come on too strong, too weak, say something you wish you hadn't? Tweak your approach. If at first you don't succeed, keep trying.
-
Be Cool. Don't rant, rave or storm at a women if she rejects you. Handle the rejection with style. Smile, thank her and walk away without a second glance. Being suave in taking no as an answer will also give her second thoughts: maybe she should have said yes?
We all know rejection isn't the most fun you can have in the singles scene. But it doesn't have to be the end of your ego-world. You can not only handle rejection well- you can also use it as inspiration for your future success.
